Good day angler,
Anyone has a solution to prevent losing jigs to those deep sea piranahs.
Tried using wire cables but it seem their appetite are a little off.
Without wire it's basically like saying goodbye to my jigs.

I use hook attached bottom eye of a jig using a split ring. Unless they  swallow jigs, they don't cut lines.

Another solution is to use cheap jigs.

It will increase knot size. However, try tying an 18 inch surgeons loop, then tie onto to your jig. Point being, when a fish strikes it may only cut off one side of knot and hopefully other side holds up. This worked really well on wahoo, I was surprised to see how many fish i was able to land with one side of knot being sawed off and other holding. If it works, you will notice chaffing on line that held. Maye compensae with bigger leader? Anyways, best of luck with that.
