Spring comes.
I hope everyone has good season this year.
We used to catch lots of winter flounder or mackerel in the spring, but it became a memory nowadays.
Blackfish will bite soon as well as striped bass followed by summer flounder.
I am looking forward to catching squid on jigs in Cape Cod in late April/early May. Squid don't fight, but squid jigging gives lots of fun to everyone.

Im beyond happy that winter is gone and its starting to get warmer ! I too hope we all have a great fishing season ! My season usually starts mid april and ends around Thanksgiving up here in the North East. I just hope that the waters/beaches aren't too dirty with debris washed up from Sandy as I will be doing more beach cleaning then fishing. I just can't stand fishing with trash on the beach, its an extreme pet peeve of mine !

Very soon Kil. The boat has been in the water for two weeks now but with the water temps around 42 deg it looks like its gonna be a little while yet. Looking back at last year we already had close to 50 keeper bass already. What a difference a year makes.

We had cherry blossom in Washington DC around March 20 last year and we  are expected to see full cherry blossom in Washington DC in a few days.

I used to see A forsythia blossom in late March or early April. Whenever I saw forsythia blossom, I knew winter flounder bites were in full swing.

But we don't see forsythia blossom yet. Fishing starts a little late this year.

Ralph,

I am planning to explore Martha's Vineyard this year.

They had good squid fishing inside harbor. Also a customer told me his group had excellent striped bass fishing with plugs from the shore  during squid run.
