The Viking reported excellent file fishing on the recent 32 hour trip.
The Altantic Star also reported great tile fishing with many 20 plus lb tile on recent trips.
It looks both boat found new tile grounds.

Here is the report.

Friday May 4-Northern Grouper Molly Whopper Tile Trip

Friday May 4-Northern Grouper Molly Whopper Tile Trip
Captain Steven Sr and crew returned early Sunday morning from our Northern Grouper Exploratory Trip with arm-weary anglers and very heavy coolers! We arrived on Captain Steven's secret spot early Saturday morning and we were welcomed by hard-fighting deep water Northern Groupers! We had a couple of great drifts over the spot and caught around 25 of the rare elusive Northern Groupers as well as some huge Viking Hake and a couple of Tile Fish, one of the Tiles was 33 pounds! Our next drop was in much deeper water and again rods were bending and fish were biting! We caught mainly large Hake and had some Tiles in the mix as well as a few Rosies and Barrel Fish. Next we made another drop for the Golden Tilefish and it seems the Supermoon made the extra large Tiles super super hungry! Don Mitchell started off catching a 43 pound Molly-Whopper! Then, it went down the line with Chris Theodorellus nailing a 44 pounder. Felix caught a 33 pounder. Sam hit another one over 30 pounds as did Mr Kwon and Mr Oh. Deiter caught a 25 pounder as well. In total we had 8 tiles over 30 pounds with 2 over 40 pounds. There was also a good mix of smaller tiles as well with plenty of 5-20 pounders. After the super Tile fishing it was time to hit another secret spot for the rare Northern Groupers. In two words .... it was controlled mayhem! They were there and they were hungry. Henry Rudolph got the action going by jigging up a beauty, then every rod started to double over! The Northern Groupers were coming up fast and we were very busy with the gaffs. Rob Foley hit a very large one at 28 pounds as did Mr Moy. Just about everyone had a couple of delicious rare Northern Groupers. After a couple more drifts we got what we came for and moved on for one more drop for Molly Whopper Tiles. We had a couple of mediums as well as some large Barrel Fish. As the sun went down fishing slowed up, and with weary arms and heavy coolers it was time to call this Exploratory Trips a successful one and head for home. Don Mitchell had a great trip with six Tiles to 43 pounds, three Northern Groupers and 5 Hake. Chris Theodorellis held on to the Tile pool with a 43.5 pounder, just beating Don. Rob Foley and his gang had a lot of fish and kept the crew busy filleting all their catch. Rob won the Wreck Fish pool with a 28 pounder. Joseph Lam took the edible pool with a 26 pound Barrel Fish.
All in all it was an incredibly successful Exploratory Trip with loads of Northern Groupers, plenty of Tiles, lots of Molly Whoppers, a couple of big Barrel Fish and plenty of Hake. Thanks everyone for fishing hard. Captain Steven Sr, Captain Carl Bobby and Suzanne also want to thank Zach for the help and Nuno for his dedication.
