It looks lots of drag for the size.
The size of the reel is very similar to JM PE6, but it is lighter than JM PE6 reel though it is two-speed.
It was only a few years ago that I posted we needed small, powerful jigging reels capable of catching big tuna, and we see many quality small, but powerful reels now.
I can't wait to test the reel on upcoming 6 days trip on the Maximus out of Puerto Vallarta and on yft jigging trip in Bermuda next month.

There is no description of gear ratio on the reel. I marked on the spool and turned the handle. High gear is about 5.5:1 and low gear is about 2.8:1.
What are the gear ratios in the reel kil? I would be concerned it would be too fast to be a good jigger...?
I spooled with 400 yards of JB 60# hollow with very little room for top shot.

Is my reel cursed ?
Hi Kilsong, have you been successful in catching a few fish with this reel?
Whenever I brought the reel, fishing was very slow and I didn't have much chance to land a decent fish on the reel.
I had one 60 lb yft on the reel, but 60 lb tuna is too small to test the reel.
I have three days trip for bluefin in Cape Cod this week. But the problem is they are big giant and I think those giant is a little big for the reel.
But the reel is very nice in my hands.
