We did not the first fishermen to jig seabass, but certainly we popularized seabass jigging on the East Coast.
Until recently most fishermen use bait to catch seabass, but we discovered how much they love jigs. I chartered just offshore seabass fishing on the Atlantic Star out of Wildwood, NJ for years in winter and jig fishermen routinely outfish bait fishermen.
We also discovered that seabass respond to jigs very well, but seabass on the wrecks don't respond to jigs very well.
I'll discuss basic tackle and jigging technique for seabass.
