Enoch asked whether custom SOM arm is longer than Stella reels, but I couldn't locate the discussion.
I asked the question to Otsuka san of SOM. He said SOM arm length for Stella 20000 is 83 mm while Shimano Stella's arm length is 80 mm.

He said the arm length can not extended more than 5 percent by design. If the arm length is longer than original arm over 5 percent, it could damage the gear of the reel.

Thanks for posting this Kil. I didn't know the exact length and using my old eyeballs my guess is way off. The angle the arm comes out is wider as well. Still the one-piece design is advantageous over the original design.

Thx for that Kil, I thought that they were as well. The limitations of the gears is a well know problem for spinning reels in general unfortunately.
