Hi there JignPop,

This is my first post here. I live in Meloburne, Australia and usually do light sport fishing in estuaries and freshwater but occasionally go offshore for SBT. I am keen to start popping for larger gamefish like Yellowtail Kings and SBT especially.

Here are a just a couple of my poppers that i have turned out on my lathe, wired, weighted with ball sinkers, sealed and painted with just spray paint. I'm pretty happy with them but I intend to get a bit more serious with the finishing process next time.

Those look pretty stout.  I think when it comes to popper lures what they look like doesn't matter 90% of the time because if the lure action elicits a predatory strike from the fish, that fish doesn't care if the lure has flames painted on it.
